C
  • Configuration:
The arrangement of the sensors and motors within the VEX IQ Robot Brain's twelve ports.
E
  • Engineering Notebook:
A type of journal that the students will use to record their designs, ideas, and reflections as they move through the STEM Lab.
S
  • Sensor:
A device which detects or measures a physical property and records, indicates, or otherwise responds to it. In this STEM Lab, most sensors collect data from the robot's environment but the Gyro Sensor collects data from its own inner detection of movement.
V
  • VEX IQ Testbed:
The robot build that is used for the STEM Lab. This Testbed is a simpler version of the testbeds used by professionals when they develop new technologies.
