  • Boolean:
    A variable that can have a value of either TRUE or FALSE.

  • Conditional Statement:
    Statements that you can use to make decisions based on the outcome of a Boolean (TRUE or FALSE) condition.

  • Engineering Notebook:
    A type of journal that the students will use to record their designs, ideas, and reflections as they move through the STEM Lab.

  • If-else Statement:
    Control structure statement that can direct program flow if a conditional statement is true or false.

  • Sensors:
    A devices that collect input from the environment and provide information that can be processed to make decisions.

  • User Experience (UX):
    The overall experience a person has as a result of interacting with a product, system, or service.
  • User Interface (UI):
    The use of input devices and software to allow a user and computer system to interact.

  • VEX V5 Clawbot:
    The robot build that is used for the STEM Lab. This robot is the result of the first hands-on lesson the students will accomplish. It is used to complete the rest of the STEM Lab activities.
