Challenge
In this challenge, you will use the information learned during this Lab to identify the pinch points on the arm mounted on the VEX V5 Workcell.
Follow these steps to complete the Lab 2 Rethink Challenge:
- Sketch the image of the V5 Workcell in your Engineering Notebook.
- Manually move the V5 Workcell to determine the potential pinch points.
- Record these pinch points in your Engineering Notebook by circling or highlighting them.
Teacher Tips
- Students could also take a picture of their own VEX V5 Workcell and print it out for their Engineering Notebook, instead of sketching it.
- To extend the challenge, ask students to explain how they will encourage best safety practices while working with the V5 Workcell and the student-identified pinch points.
