Introduction

In this Lesson, you will learn how to build the Speed Build robot and drive it using the Controller. Then, you will apply these skills to compete in a mini-competition of Tag! You will drive your robot using the Controller to tag other robots and obtain points. Watch the following video for more information on this Lesson and an explanation of the Tag competition.

At the end of this Lesson, I will be able to...

  • Build the Speed Build robot.
  • Identify that the chassis on the Speed Build robot is the structural component for the robot, which contains the drivetrain and allows the robot to be mobile by using wheels.
  • Drive and turn the Speed Build robot using the joysticks on the Controller.

Before you begin this Lesson, you first need to ensure that the Brain's firmware is up-to-date and the Battery is charged. View this article from the Knowledge Base for more information on how to update firmware and use the IQv2 Battery.
