Choice Board
Choice Board Examples & Strategies
Use the Choice Board to allow students to display their voice and choice within their learning. The Choice Board can be used in multiple ways by the teacher to:
- Engage students who finish early
- Assess what students have learned at different points throughout the Unit
- Extend the Unit or lesson
- Allow students to display their learning in the Share section
The Choice Board is intended to provide content that can be added to the classroom’s existing Choice Board or to any bulletin board in the classroom.

Deep Dive into Why We Build Robots Research about how robots are made. Using the VEX website, or another resource, students can research why we use robots, learn about robots, and ultimately give purpose and reason to why they are learning about robotics. |
Deep Dive Search about Robotics Research about bridges, cities, and self-driving cars using classroom books and devices. |
Name Your Robot Name your robot. Pick a creative name and also apply a backstory for why the 123 Robot has that name. |
Write a Story About the 123 Robot Write a story about your 123 Robot. Using beginning, middle, and end, to complete a full story about their 123 Robot. |
Bridge Story Create a story about why the 123 Robot needs to get over the bridge. |
