Lab Summary

Lab 1 - Bridge Obstacle Challenge

Students will engineer a bridge using the iterative process.
Students will problem solve how their 123 Robot will move another object across the bridge using VEXcode 123 and their understanding of motion and force.

Lab 2 - Self-Driving Car Obstacle Challenge

Students will engineer an obstacle course for the 123 Robot to navigate.
Students will program basic movements (forward, backward, left, and right) to teach their 123 Robot to avoid obstacles on their tile road.

Lab 3 - Robot City Challenge

Students will engineer a house and road to create a classroom city.
Students will solve how to move their 123 Robot across a city full of houses using commands such as forward, backward, left, and right in a sequence.

How Standard is Achieved: In Lab 1 during Play Part 2, students have the ability to create and make their own project with their groups. Beyond simple commands, students must authentically look at how to solve the problem of going over the bridge through code.

In Lab 2 during Play Part 2, students complete their final challenge by using VEXcode 123 to move their 123 Robot through an obstacle course.

In Lab 3 during Play Part 2, students use VEXcode 123 to get their 123 Robot from one end of the city to the other using commands such as forward, backward, left, and right.
