Introduction

In this Lesson, you will learn how to add and use a Bumper Switch and a Touch LED with your BaseBot. You will also configure your Controller using VEXcode IQ. Then, you will apply these skills to compete in the Freeze Tag Challenge, where you will play a game of one-on-one Freeze Tag.

Add the Bumper Switch and Touch LED

For this Lesson, you will be learning about the Bumper Switch and the Touch LED.

Add a Touch LED and Bumper Switch to your BaseBot as shown in this image. 

  • The Touch LED should be plugged into Port 2
  • The Bumper Switch should be plugged into Port 8

Ensure that you also add a 2x8 Beam to the front of the Bumper Switch with 4 pins as shown.
