Mini-Challenge

Starting from a new location, use Drivetrain and Motion blocks to place two Preload Rings into a Neutral Mobile Goal and pick up and place two additional Rings from the Field in the same Mobile Goal. Then, pick up and move the Mobile Goal to the blue Alliance Home Zone to score 24 points. 

Follow these steps to complete the challenge:

• Watch the solution video to see how Moby should move in order to complete the challenge.
• Create a new VEXcode V5 blocks project.
• Rename the project Lesson4Challenge. View these articles from the Knowledge Base for more information on how to rename your project.
• Launch the Virtual Skills window.
• Set your starting configuration to position C, facing Southwest (towards the center Neutral Mobile Goal), with two Preloads on the left Fork and zero on the right Fork. For steps on how to select Moby's starting location, see this Knowledge Base article.

  

• Add the blocks necessary to place the two Preload Rings into the center Neutral Mobile Goal, pick up two additional Rings from the Field and place them in the same Mobile Goal, then pick up and move the Mobile Goal to the blue Alliance Home Zone to score. 
• Start your project to test if it works.
• If the project is not successful, edit and try again. Continue this process until the challenge is complete.
• Once Moby successfully places a total of four Rings in the Neutral Mobile Goal, then picks up and moves the Mobile Goal to the blue Alliance Home Zone, check the score to make sure that you have a total of 24 points — 1 point for each Ring in the Mobile Goal, and 20 points for the Mobile Goal in the Alliance Home Zone.
