Outline the Goals of the Workcell Project

To better understand how the project will be built, we will first outline what should happen in the project using comments.

  1. Two disks will be moved on the conveyors. First, the red disk will ultimately exit. Add a [Comment] block to the [Set motor velocity] block and change the comment to, ‘--Divert red disk to Exit Conveyor--.

  2. The green disk will pass through the diverter on the Transport Conveyor. Add another [Comment] block and change the comment to, ‘--Pass green disk through Transport Conveyor--.’

    The red disk, acting as a faulty package or product, will begin at the Entry Conveyor, travel through the Transport Conveyor, and be diverted off to the Exit Conveyor. Before the red disk is moved on to the Transport Conveyor, the Diverter should be in the correct position to divert the red disk off onto the Exit Conveyor.

  3. Add four [Comment] blocks and change the comment to:
    1. Move Diverter to divert red disk to Exit
    2. Load red disk
    3. Move red disk toward Exit
    4. Exit red disk
    Add red disk comments

    The green disk, acting as an acceptable package or product, will begin at the Entry Conveyor, travel through the Transport Conveyor, pass the Diverter to continue on the Transport Conveyor, and then stop in front of the arm mounted on the VEX V5 Workcell. Before the green disk is moved on to the Transport Conveyor, the Diverter should be in the correct position to pass the green disk through the Transport Conveyor.

  4. Add three [Comment] blocks and change the comment to:
    1. Move Diverter out of green disk path
    2. Load green disk
    3. Pass green disk through Transport Conveyor
