Lab 1 - Village Construction
Main Focus Question: How can I drive my Hero Robot to pick up materials and transport them to construct a new object?
- Students will be introduced to the Stage 1 tasks:
- Remove a house component from its trailer.
- Deliver a house component to the red tile.
- Stack the delivered house components on the red tile to complete a house by hand.
- Students will practice driving their robot to complete the Stage 1 tasks.
- Students will compete in the Village Construction Competition.
Lab 2 - Expand the VIllage
Main Focus Question: How can I drive my Hero Robot to reposition the water pipe and lower the bridge on the Field?
- Students will be introduced to the Stage 2 tasks:
- Rotate the Wind Turbine into position (green beams aligned).
- Lower the bridge.
- Students will practice driving their robot to complete the Stage 2 tasks.
- Students will compete in the Expand the Village Competition.
Lab 3 - Water Transit
Main Focus Question: How can I drive my Hero Robot most efficiently to move the water pipe and lift the water tower upright?
- Students will be introduced to the Stage 3 tasks:
- Remove the Water Pipe from its trailer.
- Move the Water Pipe to the Water Tower tile.
- Lift the Water Tower upright.
- Students will practice driving their robot to complete the Stage 3 tasks.
- Students will compete in the Water Transit Competition.
Lab 4 - Farm to Table
Main Focus Question: How can I drive my Hero Robot to lift and transport crops to the food processing tile?
- Students will be introduced to the Stage 4 tasks:
- Deliver a Crop to the Food Processor tile.
- [Human or robot] Once Crops are delivered, press down on the Food Processor to produce Food.
- Deliver the Food to the red tile.
- Students will practice driving their robot to complete the Stage 4 tasks.
- Students will compete in the Farm to Table Competition.
Lab 5 - Village Engineering Construction Competition
Main Focus Question: How can I compete in the Village Engineering Construction Competition?
- Students will apply what they have learned in the previous Labs to compete in the Village Engineering Construction Competition!
