Practice

In the Learn section, you learned how to Build Byte, how to pair the IQ Controller with Byte's Brain, and how to download a VEXcode IQ Project to the Brain. You also learned how to run a downloaded project, and how to use the Controller to drive Byte, move Byte's arm, and spin the intake to collect and release Blocks.

In this activity, you are going to drive Byte to a Block, collect the Block with the intake, drive it to another location, and release it. Watch the video below to see how you can apply what you have learned to this practice activity.

This video shows one way you could drive your robot to complete this practice activity, and gives you ideas for things to consider as you practice, so you can learn as much as possible about driving Byte to collect and move Blocks.

Don't forget to document what you learn during Practice in your engineering notebook! If you have questions about what to add to your notebook, ask your Coach or Teacher.

What is Next?

In this Lesson, you built Byte and learned to drive it using driver control code.

In the next Lesson, you will

  • Learn about Full Volume
  • Compete in a Driving Skills Match!

Byte on the Full Volume Field with a green block in the intake.
