Teacher Toolbox - The Purpose of this Section
This Rethink section will allow students to engage in additional activities using the [Turn for] and [Drive for] blocks.
Students will work with their group to complete new tasks for the Autopilot. Students will program new VEXcode IQ Blocks projects and record their findings and ideas in their engineering notebooks.
This section includes:
- Remix Activities:
- Activity A: Drive around a box!
- Activity B: Think like a robot: getting to your seat!
- Remix Questions
Teacher Tips
- If students need a quick review of VEXCode IQ, they can reference the Tutorials at any time during this investigation. The Tutorials are located in the toolbar. Students can review saving, downloading and running a program, along with other items, with the tutorials.
- Make sure each student group has all of the necessary materials.
Exploring Other Blocks
You got your Autopilot to turn! Let’s explore how to use the turn for block with other blocks to complete more complex tasks.
The Builder in each group should get the hardware required. The Recorder should get the group’s engineering notebook. The Programmer should open VEXcode IQ.
