Reflection

Now that you've completed the Capstone Challenge, it's time to reflect on your strategy and what you learned in the challenge. To prepare for this whole-class discussion, answer the following questions in your journal:

  • Describe your highest-scoring strategy for this challenge for both Driver Control and Autonomous. Why do you think each was successful?
  • What was the most impactful thing you learned in the course that helped you develop this strategy?
  • How did your project(s) change from the start of the challenge to the end? Why?
  • Do you think your strategy was the best way to complete the challenge? Why or why not?

Course Wrap-Up

Think back to the very first unit in this course. You were likely a complete beginner, starting from scratch to learn about robotics and how to drive and code the VEX AIM Coding Robot. You have come a long way in a short time! Reflection is an important learning tool, as it allows you to remind yourself of all that you have learned and accomplished.

  • What is the most interesting thing you learned in this course? Why?
  • What was your favorite challenge in this course? Why? What did you learn from it?
  • If someone asked you what AI Vision was at the beginning of the course, how would you have answered? How would explain it now?
  • Rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 for how confident you were about driving and coding a robot at the start of the course, and now. Is your rating similar or different? Why?
  • What else do you want to learn or try with your robot? Why?

Congratulations!

Congratulations! Now that you have completed the Capstone Challenge and reflected on your learning from the whole course, you are ready to get your course certificate!
